The dramatically beautiful three- pronged Halkidiki peninsular, with fine long beaches of yellow sand backed by pine clad mountains, and warm clear waters, is a perfect location to arrange your wedding or celebrate your honeymoon.

This area was the birthplace of Alexander the Great and has always been popular with the Greeks themselves so the resorts have a very traditional and cosmopolitan feel to them.

The dramatic eastern promontory is still hidden from outsiders' eyes. Kassandra, the western finger of Halkidiki, has some of the best beaches, and our resorts are strung along its eastern coastal road, linked by the local bus. All have long fine shingle and sand beaches, a good selection of tavernas and great views across the Gulf of Kassandra.

Polichrono is the quieter choice, where many village houses are built in traditional style, with wooden balconies, stone walls and red tiled roofs.

Hanioti is liveliest of the three, with a wider selection of watersports and nightlife, while the village of Pefkohori is a friendly and easy going all-rounder of a resort.
