Malcesine Castle

Perched on a cliff overhanging Lake Garda , Malcesine Castle is believed to have been built in 568 ad.

A maze of narrow, winding streets leads down to the water's edge. The focal point of Malcesine is the pretty port. Behind the town is Monte Baldo, which is the highest mountain in the Lake Garda area. The castle is located at the top of a hill overlooking Malcesine and the waters of Lake Garda. The castle is a medieval fortress that dominates the town. This is a beautiful location for wedding pictures with breathtaking views all around.

Please note, there is a short uphill walk from the street to the castle, and an additional 110 steps to the outside terrace.

Ceremony locations to choose from include:

* Small Room Inside the castle
- This room is suitable for small weddings of up to 40 people, this room is situated on the edge of the castle with fantastic views over Lake Garda.

* A second larger room, which holds up to 70 guests, this room is made of white stone and is in the tower.

* The castle terrace overlooking the beautiful Lake Garda has seating for up to 79 guests.

Wedding package prices for 2009/2010:

A Symbolic ceremony starts from £2000.00 per couple.
A Civil ceremony starts from £2050 per couple.
A Religious ceremony starts from £2100.00 per couple.

* Hotel & travel arrangements are additional to the wedding package price.
